Breaching patterns:
Following Pakistan August 2022 floods, due to extreme monsoon rains, a HQ image of a plume in lake Manchar attracted comments around the world: see space.com, or newsweek.com. We added those free imagery sets to train the algorithm to track flow patterns result of levee breaching, as this phenomenon is essential to identify and manage floods in near real time. The display shows a shift to reds from Sentinel-2 MSI, using Google-Earth-Engine.
Other former testing case was at Honduras, after devastating hurricanes Eta and Iota, November 2021, where we trained with SAR Sentinel-1 imagery.
